Can You Believe it! 20 has been done! 20 straight wins has happened for just the third time in the Modern Major League Baseball era and it was done in dramatic fashion. To talk about the game Indians ace Corey Kluber pitched his 5th complete game of the 2017 season, tying him with Ervin Santana for the most in Major Leagues. The atmosphere last night felt like you were at a postseason game, fans on their feet a lot, and so many people showed up to the corner of carnegie and Ontario late in the game.

In the first inning things looked good for the tigers getting a runner on second with a double by Veteran Second Baseman, Ian Kinsler but then getting out of the Inning after Ian Kinsler got to third base.

Francisco Lindor had to been the Tribe’s story homering in the first Inning and the only run being batted in for the Indians, even though it was 2-0, the Indians second run, which came in the 7th Inning, was not batted in because it was scored on a wild pitch. In the innings 2 and 3 the Indians had the bases loaded twice and couldn’t get a single runner home against Tigers current Ace Matthew Boyd who was at over 100 pitches through 5 innings, Indians were able to hit him and get on base like it was nothing but every time they loaded them with 2 outs and the Tigers got out of it. The Tigers (60-83) will try to stop the Indians’ winning streak at 20, while the Indians hope to extend the winning streak to an incredible American League record 21 straight games with Mike Clevinger pitching for the Tribe against Buck Farmer for the Tigers.

The tigers did not hit well at all last night, hitting 5 times, twice from their best player Nicholas Castellanos, which he had a double in the 9th Inning off of Kluber with 2 outs when things looked like the Indians were going to win.

Some people might think that in last nights game that Nobody was hitting, well people were hitting its just the runs were not coming across the plate for both teams, to despite Kluber’s great outing, he did not have much run support just the fact that the Indians were able to get 2 across. His only 2 losses since June 1 are because of no run support.

Today the Indians will go for an AL Record 21 straight wins while the Detroit Tigers (60-83) look to end the unbeatable Indians’ 21 game winning streak, game time will be at 12:10 Eastern Time and the Starters are Mike Clevinger for the Indians and Buck Farmer for the Tigers. The Indians will play the Royals tomorrow night at home after this.

History could be done at Progressive Field today.
