Indians Vs. Rockies

Earlier this afternoon, the Indians lost to the team from the Mile High City. The final score was 3-2 in 12 Innings. Charlie Blackmon had a go-ahead home run in the 12th inning. Blackmon, who leads the National League in Hits and extra base hits, has put together and excellent season for Colorado up to this date. The Indians (59-51) have been struggling offensively, struggling to put the ball in play, only scored 2 runs by a Francisco Lindor 2 run shot in the 3rd inning, gave tribe 2-1 lead at that point. It took the Rockies until the 9th inning to tie the game up at 2, were putting the ball in play in other innings but couldn't do any damage. Cody Allen blew his 7th save opportunity of the year leading to a base hit by Carlos Gonzalez, who has had a bad year compared to his career, tied it up in the 9th but no further damage done afterward. The games top performer was Charlie Blackmon, who went 3-6 with a solo HR in the 12th to take the lead, as well as today, he had a solo Home Run off of Corey Kluber yesterday, converted in the Clutch. The Rockies improve to 65-49 on the year, their best 114 game start in club history while the Indians, 59-51. Things sure look like that they need to get better and their is not to much time to play with until october.
