Today, the Indians activated 2-time All Star and 2016 ALCS MVP Andrew Miller from the 10-Day DL, Miller who has been out since basically August 1st when he got hurt during the Red Sox, Returned for 3 games before going back on the DL on August 21st when the Indians hosted Red Sox. During this DL stint Miller had, The Indians have a phenomenal record of 21-2 losing 2 the Red Sox before the 21 game win streak began. The difference now is, will he remain healthy for the 2017 postseason?

Well Miller a season ago was phenomenal in the postseason, he had the 3rd most strikeouts by any pitcher and he wasn’t even starting pitcher and he became the 3rd relief pitcher in the history of the 48-Year-Old LCS to win the MVP of the series. But some people might believe that the use of Miller in the 2016 postseason has gone into this year, serving 2 DL stints in the last month. It would be huge if the Indians could keep him healthy for the postseason. Even though they have gone on this winning streak without him, they are still going to need him back the postseason to upgrade the Bullpen with Cody Allen and Bryan Shaw. The Indians will get Miller back with a 90-56 record, on the verge of clinching 2 straight AL Central titles for the first time since the 1998-99 seasons.

Going with Millers return, the Indians have been missing a lot of key players through this 21 game winning streak, names that Include LF Michael Brantley who is nowhere near to a return yet, 2B Jason Kipnis who has been tested in CF because of the Bradley Zimmer injury and obviously Miller.

Tonight the Indians will go for win number 22 in a row, it would break the MLB record without a tie, they are currently tied with the 1935 Chicago Cubs. They will hope to do it with Miller back healthy and ready to go for tonight.
