CLEVELAND- On a Thursday that saw 3 key CSU players injured, but the Vikings still prevailed which saw the first game at CSU for new Head Coach Dennis Felton. The Highlight for the Vikings had to been Kenny Carpenter scoring 14 of his 16 points in the second half. New CSU freshman Tyree Appleby really chipped in of the bench. Scoring 13 of his 15 points in the first half, in a game that saw basically 8 players play for the Vikings. If that keeps happening, there is going to be a lot of playing time this year if those 3 important players don’t come back from their injury but say they do come back which is almost guaranteed, there will be less playing time.
To start off Cedarville had the lead, looking like they were really good to start things off. Led by 8 at one point in the first half but just assuming that wasn’t going to keep up for a while, it didn’t because Cedarville might be one of the easiest opponents CSU will play all year long. They will just keep on getting harder when it gets to Akron next week. CSU has started and the next home game will be in 2 weeks from tonight on November 17th.
