CLEVELAND- The vikings totally lost this game in the first half after trailing 14 points at the break, they battled back until this thing was all set and done including a last second look from Stefan Kenic that was in and out until there was not enough time left for Tyree Appleby to run for the ball.

The story for the Vikings was not being able to get offensive rebounds, being out rebounded on the offensive end 14-6, just seems like that is half the reason why they lose games but Central Connecticut State (3-3) was legit, out of the Northeast Conference and just outside of Hartford. Their leading scorer was Austin Nehls who had 19 points.

It seemed like that the Vikings just couldn’t come back in the 2nd half from going down so big but they definitely came back and made it interesting. The leading scorer for Cleveland State was Dontel Highsmith who played most of the game of the bench and tied for the lead in rebounds with 5.

The Vikings who are now 1-4 on the season, look lost and certainly need to win some games to get back into good standing with Arkansas State coming into town this week and trying to avoid a 1-5 start. Because of losing tonight, the Vikings are now in a tie for last place in the Horizon League who hope to bounce back and beat Arkansas State on Wednesday.
